DNMT July - Bettie Page

This is my submission for monthly theme. This time we had to choose a celerbity and design a wedding gown, merging her fashion style and our own personality as a designer together in the final product.
Since I'm in love with the style of the 50s I wanted to credit a woman who represents this era. I thought about Dita VanTeese but ended up with her idol - The Notorious Bettie Page [link]

Bridal accessories may be included in the entry, and a design with a back-view illustration is highly preferred (all in a single deviation).

- The reason you chose her
- And a brief description of your design.

Description: I wanted to show off her gorgoeus curves so I decided on a gown that's gathered at the side. So she got this very slim waist^^ I added the star at the side cause Bettie always wanted to become a great movie star (not just the pin up movies she did).
My choice of color is a creme white and a vanilla tone. Bettie got married more than once so I thought it wouldn't be appropriate to dress her in white.
The upper part of her dress, the gathered one, is creme white with a tiny shade of pink around the star and I added some rubys - matching with the color of her lips.
The lower part of her dress is in vanilla colors and I added a little print texture to give it a little extra.
The star is supposed to be made of golden sequin. And the rubys should be sparkling as well.
I added a plain white organza veil which is coming right from the back of her dress. She could have a matching headpiece but I didn't want to add one to this picture.
She is carrying red tulips cause time for red roses is over... I don't know exactly which number of husband she's up to but she knows by now that marriage isn't forever
